Radical artifactualism

چکیده
Abstract A powerful idea put forward in the recent philosophy of science literature is that scientific models are best understood as instruments, tools or, more generally, artifacts. This has thus far been developed combination with traditional representational approach: accordingly, current artifactualist accounts treat tools. But artifactualism and representationalism independent views, adopting one does not require acceptance other. paper argues a leaner version artifactualism, free representationalist assumptions, both desirable viable. Taking seriously artifacts can help us philosophically to make sense how why modeling works even without reference representation.

Radical versus non-radical inventions
This paper looks at the special characteristics of radical inventions. It tries to identify those variables that differentiate radical inventions from non-radical inventions. Since radical inventions are very important for the economy as a whole and for the individual firm performances, understanding what makes radical inventions differ from non-radical inventions is very important. For our res...
متن کاملRADICAL OF FILTERS IN RESIDUATED LATTICES
In this paper, the notion of the radical of a filter in residuated lattices is defined and several characterizations of the radical of a filter are given. We show that if F is a positive implicative filter (or obstinate filter), then Rad(F)=F. We proved the extension theorem for radical of filters in residuated lattices. Also, we study the radical of filters in linearly o...
متن کاملOn radical formula and Prufer domains
In this paper we characterize the radical of an arbitrary submodule $N$ of a finitely generated free module $F$ over a commutatitve ring $R$ with identity. Also we study submodules of $F$ which satisfy the radical formula. Finally we derive necessary and sufficient conditions for $R$ to be a Pr$ddot{mbox{u}}$fer domain, in terms of the radical of a cyclic submodule in $Rbigopl...
متن کاملRadical of $cdot$-ideals in $PMV$-algebras
In this paper, we introduce the notion of the radical of a $PMV$-algebra $A$ and we charactrize radical $A$ via elements of $A$. Also, we introduce the notion of the radical of a $cdot$-ideal in $PMV$-algebras. Several characterizations of this radical is given. We define the notion of a semimaximal $cdot$-ideal in a $PMV$-algebra. Finally we show that $A/I$ has no nilpotent elemen...
متن کاملRadical and It’s Applications in BCH-Algebras
Let $X$ be a $BCH$-algebra and $I$ be an ideal of $X$. In this paper, we introduce the concept of $sqrt{I}$. We show that it is an ideal of $X$, when $I$ is closed ideal of $X$. Then we verify some useful properties of it. We prove that it is the ::::union:::: of all $k-$nil ideals of $I$. Moreover, if $I$ is a closed ideal of $X$, then $sqrt{I}$ is a closed translation ideal and so we can cons...
